INGUSHETIA, February 1, Caucasus Times – On February 3 the Supreme Court of Ingushetia will be hearing a case of “Chechen Committee For National Salvation,” to rule whether this public organization is extremist or not, Caucasus Times reports citing the organization office.

The committee leader Ruslan Badalov told Caucasus Times correspondent that yesterday he was summoned to court to be held February 3. In October 2004, the judges of Nazran district court ruled in favor of the CCNS after the trial of charges brought by Prosecutor’s Office of Ingushetia against the organization. The prosecutors said they found evidence of extremism and terrorism in the activity of the CCNS. The court found the charges ungrounded.

Now prosecutor’s office of Ingushetia has appealed to the Supreme Court of the republic.
