Several arms caches found in Dagestan

DAGESTAN, 30 January, Caucasus Times: Several caches containing weapons and ammunition have been found in Dagestan and Chechnya, the law-enforcement bodies have reported.

One of the caches was located in a dilapidated house near the settlement of Tsumada in Dagestan. Four 200g TNT blocks and two half-litre aluminium cans filled with a grey substance were found in it. The cans will be examined by experts.

Three RGD-5 grenades, up to 300 5.45mm cartridges and three sets of camouflage uniforms have been seized in a cache in the woods in the vicinity of the settlement of Aksay in Dagestan’s Khasavyurtovskiy District.

Meanwhile, two grenade launchers, four assault rifles, two projectiles for grenade launchers, two grenades and more than 2,000 cartridges of various calibre were seized in caches found in the town of Argun and in the settlements of Azamat-Yurt, Alkhazurovo and Katyr-Yurt.
