Selling of Pyrotechnics Is Banned in Karachaevo-Cherkessia in The Places of Mass Concentration of People

KARACHAEVO-CHERKESSIA, 16 December, Caucasus Times. Petr Korotchenko, Mayor of Cherkessk, the capital of Karachevo-Cherkessia, made a decision prohibiting sale of pyrotechnics in the places of mass concentration of people in the period shortly before a New Year.

Press service of the City Mayor informed Caucasus Times correspondent that sellers of pyrotechnics are now obliged to have all necessary certification documents for their goods, special permission from the fire-prevention service as well as detailed instruction in the Russian language concerning the usage of the goods and safety measures.

Members of the Educational Department of Cherkessk will give talks concerning the usage of pyrotechnics and explaining necessary safety measures to the pupils of the city schools.

Apart from that, local Internal Affairs Office is strongly recommended to take necessary preventive measures aimed at stopping illegal selling of pyrotechnics.
