Russia’s North Ossetia closes down casinos after gambler kills himself
NORTH OSSETIA, 10 August, Caucasus Times – A gambler has killed himself in North Ossetia after he lost R450,000 [more than 16,800 dollars] in a casino. It has been decided to urgently close down all gambling houses in the republic, the press service of the republic’s president has reported.
North Ossetian leader Taymuraz Mamsurov instructed the government of the republic to urgently close down gambling houses in the republic’s residential areas.
“Appreciating responsibility for the present and future of Ossetia, the republic’s leader Taymuraz Mamsurov has instructed the government to urgently take measures to stop immediately the operations of gambling houses located in residential areas as the public demands,” a statement of the press service of the North Ossetian presidential administration said.
