Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman took part in the session on a new law on terrorism in Adygea

ADYGEA, 27 February, Caucasus Times. Vladimir Katrenko, Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman and Head of the Federal Commission on North Caucasus Problems told that atmosphere of friendship, mutual assistance and national and interconfessional tolerance is a characteristic feature of Adygea.

Vladimir Katrenko has recently paid an official visit to Adygea where he participated in a session of Adygean government devoted to the newly adopted Russian law on fight against terrorism. In Katrenko’s words, new law contains proposals suggested by the ministries of the Republic of Adygea.

In Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman’s opinion, stable and calm situation in Adygea is a result of the joint efforts, especially the efforts of the republican leadership. “Together with our colleagues, we are dealing with interethnic problems on a permanent basis and I would like to stress that Adygea set an example in this sphere yesterday, sets this example today and will set it tomorrow”, – Katrenko noticed.

During his visit to Adygean State University, State Duma Deputy Chairman presented an honorary diploma of the Russian State Duma to Rashid Khunagov, Rector of the University. Katrenko told the students of the university about the work of the Federal Commission on North Caucasus Problems he is currently heading.
