Russian southern republic approves Kremlin-backed presidential candidate
ADYGEYA, 13 December, Caucasus Times – The parliament of the Russian North Caucasus republic of Adygeya has approved Aslancheriy Tkhakushinov as the next head of the republic.
Fifty members of the State Council – Khase supported Tkhakushinov’s
candidacy while one voted against.
Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted Tkhakushinov’s candidacy for the
post of Adygeya president to the republic’s State Council on 6 December.
