Russian police shot down a resident of Ingushetia in Karabulak

INGUSHETIA, October 24, Caucasus Times – A task forces police team has reportedly killed Turashev Kazbek, an alleged militant wanted by the police, at the crossroads of Dzhabagiyeva and Neftyanaya streets Karabulak downtown.

The 26-year-old local man of Ordzhonikidzevskaya village in Sunzhensky district of Ingushetia was shot dead downtown by the police team while the scene was witnessed by dozens of the bystanders. “We were just coming back home from the market, when the masked policemen with assaults rifles appeared at the site,” told Movlatkhan Sapraliyeva, a woman who witnessed the incident. “They policemen looked quite strange, nervously pushing the people. There was a car parked by the road, with a driver a woman with child inside. As soon as the young man attempted to get out the car, the masked police team started chaotic shooting at the man. The people got panicked, shouting, dispersing in horror. I don’t know what was there after the shooting,” the woman said.

The attacked man died due to gunshot wounds on the spot, while his wife and the child did not suffer, the Karabulak Prosecutor’s office said in the interview with the Caucasus Times correspondent. Criminal case is open, under investigation.
