Representatives of the federal center and heads of the Russian regions discuss the problems of development of the southern part of Russia

STAVROPOL TERRITORY, 2 December, Caucasus Times. According to Interfax, members of the Russian government and heads of the Russian regions met in Kislovodsk on Friday to discuss the problems of development of the social sphere, preparations to winter period as well as development of information and telecommunication technologies in the Russian South.

Interfax reports that Dmitrii Kozak, Presidential Representative in Southern Federal Disctrict is in the chair of the joint session of the heads of regions of the Southern Federal District and the association “North Caucasus”.

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexandr Zhukov, Minister of Economy and Trade German Gref, Minister of Information Technologies and Communication Leonid Reiman are among the participants of the session.

The following questions are put on the agenda of the session: “On situation and Measures Needed for the Development of the Social Sphere as an Integral Part of the Regional Development”, “On Readiness of the Fuel and Energetic Complex and Communal Infrastructure to the Winter Period 2005-2006”, “On Development of Information and Telecommunication Technologies on the Territory of the Southern Federal District”, and “On Federal Program for Special Purposes in the Southern Russia in 2007-2012 and during the Subsequent Years”.
