Regional Prosecutor’s Office institutes legal proceedings against two judges

STAVROPOL TERRITORY, February 2, Caucasus Times – A team of investigators of the regional Prosecutor’s Office began on Monday investigation into a case of two judges, who were allegedly involved in passing out faked documents to illegal immigrants helping them to get Russian passports.

The prosecutors said they found during the inquest into the matter that the two judges of a district court had issued at least 100 permissions granting Russian ID’s to illegal residents. The Stavropol Territory court has rescinded the decisions of the judges.

The Prosecutor General has brought charges against the two judges.
