One more mosque is opened in Adygeya

ADYGEYA, October 18, Caucasus Times – The beginning of Ramadan, the sacred month of the post held by Muslims worldwide was marked by the opening of a new mosque building in Jijikhable villlage of Teuchezhsky district.

This mosque appears to be 31st that has been built recently in the republic. To remind, just ten years ago there were no mosque in Adygeya. The construction of mosque was financed by local government and with the aid of local and foreign businessmen, such as Kemal Touguzh, an ethnic Adyghe living abroad, who had donated $ 20.000 for the mosque.

Local Moslem authorities said in an interview with Caucasus Times correspondent that there had been nine mosques being under construction in the republic.
