New president inaugurated in Russia’s Adygeya
ADYGEYA, 14 January, Caucasus Times: New Adygeyan President Aslanchari Tkhakushinov was inaugurated at a ceremony held in the Adygeyan parliament on 13 January in Maykop.
The chairman of the State Council, Ruslan Khadzhebuyekov, said that one month had elapsed since 13 December when the republic’s parliament confirmed the candidacy of the president nominated by President Vladimir Putin.
Almost all heads of the regions, territories and republics of the Southern Federal District attended the ceremony. Russian presidential envoy Dmitriy Kozak also attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He read out a message of the head of state, congratulated Tkhakushinov and wished him
success in his new job.
