Head of Kabardino-Balkaria is going to contact the leadership of the South Federal District concerning the development of economic ties with Azerbaijan

KABARDINO-BALKARIA, 17 January, Caucasus Times. Adyn Abbasov, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan paid a working visit to the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria Nalchik.

Dzhamilya Hagarova, head of the press service of Kabardino-Balkarian President, informed CaucasusTimes correspondent that practical tasks of maintaining mutual economic contacts had been discussed during the negotiations.

During the dialogue concrete proposals aimed at removing various barriers in the sphere of economic and investment cooperation had been discussed. “There is a space for that. We have potential for cooperation in food and agricultural industries”, – Arsen Kanokov, President of Kabardino-Balkaria stressed.

Mr. Abbasov expressed his interest in cooperation with Nalchik and emphasized that Azerbaijan is going to develop its activities in the sphere of energy and to promote investments to Kabardino-Balkaria.

Abbasov’s visit to Kabardino-Balkaria is a starting point for the further negotiations. “Potential possibilities of cooperation have been considered during the talks”, – Dzhamilya Hagarova pointed out while talking with CaucasusTimes correspondent. As it has been announced, head of Kabardino-Balkaria is going to contact leadership of the South Federal District in the near future concerning the development of the economic ties with Azerbaijan. There are indications that resolving of this issue will be coordinated with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
