Counterterrorism operational command group has been established in Adygea

ADYGEIYA, September 10, Caucasus Times, – The counterterrorism operational command group has been established a month ago in Adygea as well as in other republics and territories in the North Caucasus, a major officer heading the operational command told Caucasus Times correspondent.

The Interior Ministry officer Col. Alexei Khoruzhin was quoted as saying that the operational command group had been completely established a month ago. As a matter of fact, he says, the group will be functioning as an interdepartmental constant service of rapid deployment forces headed by deputy ministers of “power structures”: Interior Ministry, Defense Ministry, regional branches of Federal Security Service, Emergency Situations Ministry and Corrections Department. The officer declined to give the number of the counterterrorism group, and was quoted as saying “the anti-terror command group has sufficient forces to be able to counterattack any possible terrorists’ raid in the republic.”
