Around 300 drug-related crimes have been identified in Karachevo-Cherkessia in 2005

KARACHAEVO-CHERKESSIA, 28 November, Caucasus Times. Around 300 drug-related crimes have been identified by the members of the Office of the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation in Karachaevo-Cherkessia.

Representative of the Office of the Federal Drug Control Service has informed Caucasus Times correspondent that 200 grave and extremely grave drug-related crimes had been identified. Also, 36 cases of organizing and keeping drug-dens in the area had been disclosed.

As a representative of federal service noticed, more than 30 kg of different drugs and drug-related substance had been confiscated from the illegal drug traffic in the republic.

Criminal proceedings were instituted against 112 persons in connection with those facts. Administrative proceedings were instituted against around 500 persons.
