Abductions of Chechen refugees still practiced in Ingushetia

On July 14, Russian special task agents abducted several people in Altiyevo village in Nazran district of Ingushetia.
In the afternoon, four young men, including Ruslan Guliyev, a son of the house owner, were working at a private building site when several masked armed men arrived in three cars seized the young men, pulled plastic bags on
their heads, pushed them into the cars and took them away by force.

Along the way the abductors released two of the detainees, Ruslan Guliyev and Vakhu Saidov, the locals of Ingushetia, leaving them in a small forest area nearby Mosdok. Two others, Chechen inhabitants Rustam and Murat, remain abducted so far.

The Ingushetia’s Interior Ministry said they or any other agency in the republic had nothing to do with the incident in Altiyevo. Those young men who were released earlier by unknown servicemen are being interrogated by Ingushetia prosecutor’s office detectives. The Nazran district prosecutor’s office conduct investigation into the case.
