Weapons cache at a private house

On July 4, Ingusheia’s law enforcement agents discovered a munitions cache in a private house court yard in Akazhevo village of Nazran district of the republic.

The Interior Ministry reported the find was detected by the police and the regional FSB agents while conducting an operation to prove an obtained information in Akazhevo. The disguised cache was found in a private house while searched, which contained: a machine gun “Kedr” with 20 rounds, a F-1 grenade, 48 handgun cartridges, 2 “Kenwood” radio bearers, 11 sleeping bags, a VHS and a diary with expenditures records.

The house owner, Temirbulat Hidriyev, a local man claimed, had nothing to do with the cache. He proved some guys from Chechnya had been renting his house lately. Now the law-enforcement agencies of Ingushetia conduct operative measures to establishment and detain the suspects.

“Prior to now we’ve conducted several successful operations and confiscated a few munitions,” told a police officer. “We believe this firearms and ammunitions intended for a militant group and was to be conveyed to Chechnya.
