DAGESTAN, 7 March, Caucasus Times. New Prime Minister of Dagestan Shamil Zainalov is planning to continue working in the framework of the existing social and economic program of the previous government of Dagestan.
“I am not going to propose any personal program of the government activities. We already have a government program of full value, which includes detailed plan of the social and economic development of Dagestan until 2010. As a new Prime Minister, I need to take all necessary measures to make sure that this program is fully implemented”, – Zainalov stressed in his interview to “Rossijskaya Gazeta” published on Tuesday.
Responding to a question on when new government will be formed, Shamil Zainalov said that all candidatures for the posts of ministers will be considered in the nearest future and after that new government will be formed.
Talking about criminal situation in Dagestan, Zainalov pointed out that problem of high criminality can only be solved by joint efforts. He noted that this work coordinated by Dagestani President Mukhu Aliev had already started.
Shamil Zainalov, former Representative of Dagestan in the Russian Council of Federation was appointed Prime Minister of Dagestan on 6 March. This position became vacant after newly appointed President of Dagestan Mukhu Aliev in accordance with Constitution accepted resignation of the government of Dagestan.
