Ingushetia awarded as the “region of the year”

INGUSHETIA, November 24, Caucasus Times – Recently, Ingushetia was awarded as the “Region of the year” by “Politics” Russian news magazine.

The republic was awarded for its achievements in pursuit of stable situation in Ingushetia as well as in the North Caucasus region, Tatiyana Grozman, the chairman of the board of directors of “Politics” holding company at the meeting with President Ziyazikov. She added, Ingushetia has not ever been at war with Russia.

She presented the president of the republic a handmade tapestry “The Kremlin” as the gift. President Ziyazikov appreciated the award of the esteemed Russian agency, and was quoted as saying, “the republic’s authorities have been hard in pursuing for the last two years the stability and positive changes for Ingushetia as well as the Caucasus region.”
