Dagestan governor meets Russia’s deputy Defense minister

DAGESTAN, September 27, Caucasus Times – Mohammed Ali Mohammedov, the chairman of the State Council, the republic’s parliament, has met with Russia’s deputy Defense Minister A. Grebenyuk in Makhachkala.

Mr. Grebenyuk said during his briefing with journalists he had arrived at Dagestan to inspect the construction of a cantonment in Botlikhsky district, where a Defense Ministry Infantry Brigade should be quartered.

Along with the construction of the living quarters for Russian militaries, according to Mr. Grebenyuk, local social infrastructure of neighboring villages would be developed. The overall costs of the project was estimated at about $206 million.
