Court of Ingushetia sentenced a group of militants who went on trial in the case of “Beslan reserve group” to 17 years in prison for each of them

INGUSHETIA, 1 February, Caucasus Times. Supreme Court of Ingushetia sentenced each of the four militants who went on trial in the case of “Beslan reserve group” to 17 years in prison.

It is worth of noting that State accuser requested the court to sentence each of the four militants to 20 years in prison in the reformatory with a special regime.

Last Friday Jury found Kazbek Zavleev, Shamil Hadisov, Rezvan Hadzhaev and Martan Hamurziev to be guilty of gangsterism, participating in illegal armed groups, terrorism and attempts upon the lives of the members of the law-enforcement agencies and servicemen.

In the meantime, Jury did not find all four militants guilty of participating in the reserve group of terrorists which were planning to attack another school instead of Beslan school on 1 September 2004 and in preparations to attack school #2 in the village of Nesterovskaya in Ingushetia.

Nobody of the accused in their concluding remarks pleaded guilty.
