Civilians suffer injuries, five of them children in a combat

INGUSHETIA, October 11, Caucasus Times – Eight civilians have been wounded in a recent fire clashes between special task forces and militants in Nazran. Five of the victims were children and three women, the Interior Minister told Caucasus Times correspondent. The victims were delivered to the city hospital, a police officer in Interior Ministry said.

A sweep conducted by FSB agents and police squads in Gamurziyevo village near Nazran, in Ingushetia triggered a combat between insurgents allegedly linked to a notorious Basayev’s group. Three insurgents were reported killed and two police injured.
