A member of International Red Cross has been detained in Chechnya for a short period of time

CHECHNYA, 23 February, Caucasus Times. Radio Svoboda quoting human rights activists from “Memorial” center reported that Adam Ibragimov, member of the local branch of International Red Cross organization, has been detained in Chechnya for a short period of time.

Chechen Prosecutor Valery Kuznetsov confirmed this information and added that one hour after detention a member of Red Cross organization has been released. Valery Kuznetsov did not provide any further details explaining the reasons for the detention of Adam Ibragimov.
